July 16, 2019 – San Mateo, California – 52 Capital Partners, LLC announced today that Caroline Gaffney has joined the firm’s Advisory Board. 

Caroline Gaffney is the Chief of Staff of Product at LinkedIn Corporation, the world’s largest professional network with over 690 million registered members in 200 countries. At LinkedIn, Caroline assists in managing over 1,600 team members across LinkedIn’s Product Group, which includes the areas of product management, design, research, business development, customer operations, editorial and content. Previously, Caroline was the Director of Product Management at LinkedIn, where, during her six years in the role, Caroline led teams responsible for Lynda.com, the LinkedIn homepage, news feed, global navigation, user onboarding experience, SlideShare and other growth and engagement features. Caroline also previously was the Director of Product Management at Instagram, where she built and scaled Instagram’s Growth team to grow the company at its fastest rate ever, reaching one billion users in June 2018. 

Caroline began her career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company in New York City. Caroline later was the Senior Manager of Strategy & Business Development at Banana Republic and the Vice President of Product at Decorati, an internet start-up acquired by Gilt Groupe. Caroline serves on the Board of Directors of the Girl Scouts of Northern California. Caroline received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S.E. in Chemical Engineering, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Princeton University.
