52 Capital Partners, LLC announced today that Mark Szczuka has joined the firm as a Managing Director.

As a Managing Director of 52 Capital Advisors, Mr. Szczuka is responsible for strategic advisory client development, deal execution, firm operations, systems management and oversight of the firm's Global Leadership Program.

Mr. Szczuka previously worked at Ridgehouse Capital, LLC, a real estate development and investment firm, where he managed a $40 million portfolio of commercial and residential real estate assets. At Ridgehouse Capital, Mr. Szczuka managed portfolio strategy, construction-related projects, research and development, asset identification and execution of new investment opportunities. Prior to Ridgehouse Capital, Mr. Szczuka worked at Integra Realty Resources, a national consulting and valuations group, where he managed and led fundamental and technical analyses covering a $300 million portfolio of over 100 commercial real estate assets, including healthcare real estate assets consisting of hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities.

Mr. Szczuka began his career in the United States Navy, serving as a Navy Corpsman. During his five years in the United States Navy, Mr. Szczuka completed three overseas deployments to the Middle East, Central America and East Asia, serving in Bahrain, Qatar, El Salvador, Japan, the Philippines and Australia. As a Navy Corpsman stationed abroad, Mr. Szczuka served as the Lead Medic for American military units of up to 250 personnel, leading multiple medical teams and working directly with the senior U.S. military command of the Seventh Fleet, Fifth Fleet and Fourth Fleet. Mr. Szczuka also managed a clinical training team of 10 corpsmen at the Naval Branch Health Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. In addition to providing medical care to American military personnel in the theater, Mr. Szczuka oversaw administrative healthcare duties in the United States Navy, working with senior medical officers and unit commanding officers. He also completed the Special Operations Corpsman Program at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Szczuka is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).

Mr. Szczuka holds an M.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, an M.A. in Philosophy from Loyola University Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the University of Notre Dame.
