Expert Working Group Roundtable at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution Discusses American Technology and Public Policy

On May 6, 2019, 52 Capital Partners, LLC’s Founder & Chief Executive Officer David P. Willard participated in an expert Working Group Roundtable at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution at the invitation of the Honorable George P. Shultz, the former U.S. Secretary of State in the administration of President Ronald Reagan. The Working Group Roundtable was organized in conjunction with the Hoover Institution’s series on Emerging Technology and America’s Economy and was held in the Lou Henry Hoover Building on the campus of Stanford University. The event, entitled Governance in an Emerging New World, featured a series of panel discussions led by a group of leading private sector executives, policymakers and scholars. Panelists on the Working Group Roundtable discussed the impact of changing demographics and advanced technology on the U.S. economy and what the United States can do to manage these changes and seize their potential, including improving educational systems, removing bias in artificial intelligence and ensuring a growing, productive population.
